Living that way made Jason feel like a colorful autumn leaf. A few fleeting, but temporarily bright moments.
When I moved back to Sudbury, I expected an early frost in September and snow in October. At least that’s how I remember the autumns of my childhood.
Since returning home, Lynea found a particular affinity for the maple in Brennan’s front yard. He’d told her it would turn a bright golden yellow in October – Cori’s favorite color, as well as her own.
Let himself imagine air crisp with autumn driving back the heat, and a mountain trail beneath his wheels, steep drops, sharp curves, and long climbs.
Wire urns filled with orange heirloom pumpkins, potted boxwood, and crimson mums decorated the outside of the shop.
A Step Too Close (work in progress)
Trees so brightly colored in red and gold and orange they almost hurt the eyes. Sparkling, crisp, cold air with the quintessential fall smell of leaves burning.
In the fall, the leaves transformed into their breathtaking autumnal colors of vivid crimson, burnished gold, and flaming yellow.
It wasn’t just her looks, though she was beautiful with those high breasts, and eyes that reminded him of an autumn forest, all shadowy golds and browns.
