I’d like all of you to do me a huge favor: Today, go to Romance Lives Forever at: https://www.rlfblog.com/ .
I’m blogging about Handsome’s and my journey through his second surgery to repair his jaw which collapsed last year after radiation he received ten years earlier for base of tongue cancer.
Then I need a second favor: share this post. Our wish is for this post to help someone who might be going through this kind of treatment.
And while we’re at it, a third favor: just give someone you know who is traveling their own cancer journey a “thinking of you.”
And finally, for you:

I’m proud to have traveled this journey with you and realize what a strong’ loyal and dedicated wife you are. Handsome is a lucky man. Strong hugs to you both. Some years I was with a bunch of firefighters with our hands on an old friend as he drew his last breath. There was so much cancer they couldn’t even tell where it started. I never want to see anyone like that again. Big hugs to you and handsome.

Hi, McKenna! I am the one who feels lucky. I think God picked him for me. 🙂 When his story began eleven years ago, we had no idea what the future held. I just don’t want anyone who has had head and neck radiation to go through this. Talk to the doctor quickly and find out about poor circulation in the bones. Maybe something could be done. Hugs to you.

Cancer is a horrible, invasive disease. With you by his side cheering him on, I hope and pray Handsome is blessed with a full recovery {{hugs}}

Ten years ago when the cancer was discovered, it was stage 3. That’s why he had the aggressive chemo and radiation. I just wish we had known what to do about the radiation so the journey he has had over the last year and a half might have been minimized. He’s getting there and that is a very good thing. Today, he traveled by himself to California.
