WORD BY WORD #1

Hopefully, you’ve read the last post on the Sisterhood of Suspense blog by Kathryn Jane, called Change. She explained exactly what’s happened here: https://sisterhoodofsuspense.com/2020/07/02/change/https:/ We’ve morphed into a new entity. One we hope you will continue to follow as we strive to be positive, uplifting, and encouraging in trying times. Truth be told, all times are trying in one way or another to one person or another. Our attitude about those times is what makes the difference.

Sometimes, we need help adjusting our attitude. Sometimes, one person’s smile or words make all the difference and can lift our spirits. And then we can pass on that more positive attitude to others, lighting their world, too.

Nature Revives Me

We’re continuing our Sunday Lines on Facebook, but now they won’t necessarily be from our books. They may be other people’s wisdom or ideas we’ve internalized and found helpful. Each month we’ll have a theme. July is “In times of trouble.” August is “When you’re ready to be inspired.” You get the idea.

We’ll also continue blogging on Tuesday’s and Friday’s. (I usually show up on the last Tuesday of the month but popped in early to kick off our endeavor.) I like to think many of our posts at Sisterhood of Suspense were inspiring, but now we’ll focus on being inspiring, encouraging, positive, and uplifting, including posting pictures that fill that bill. These are tough times. and we all could use a little help from our friends. And yes, we’ll still share things about our books and writing, but it will be in the context of encouragement.

HAMILTON filled me with awe at the talent and creativity of the actors and strengthened my resolve to help America live up to its ideals.

It’s been interesting to participate in this birthing of a new group. We’ve all stretched our Zoom wings. Some of us had never met others in our SOS group, other than to see our Facebook pictures, so it’s been fun getting to know the folks behind those faces and behind their books.

So now you know. We hope you’ll tell others about us, continue to follow us on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/WordbyWordWomen , on Twitter @Wordbyword5, Sunday Lines, and on our Blog here, posting as Women in Writing, Sharing Encouragement: One Word at a Time.

We may still experience a few glitches as we grow into this new existence, so we ask for your patience there.

What do you think of the change? Is change something you love, hate, tolerate? Do you have questions about our process, or would you like to share an inspiring thought? We’d love to hear from you. Be safe.

I found you on Jaquie’s blog. I love that you are all meeting by Zoom. I think more and more bloggers are getting together and forming blogging coalitions. It sounds encouraging and spreads out the work and the wealth of inspiration. Love your pictures, BTW. Marsha Ingrao 🙂

After having a few Kiwanis meetings by zoom, then some prayer meetings, I thought about that one night about getting my blogging friends together. I haven’t taken the thought any further, but I’m thrilled that some have. It’s great when you connect with a group of like-minded people, isn’t it? That’s one reason I’ve loved these interviews. It’s been inspirational to talk with them and plan some things we can do together. Do you host any challenges? I didn’t see any in my quick perusal of your blog.

      2. You should try the Zoom thing- it’s fun! I haven’t tried hosting a challenge yet, I need to come up with an original concept first, lol.

Hi Marsha Marsha, I hope you keep up your wonderful Zoom get togethers. It sounds like they are meeting a need, if you will pardon the pun. Have a wonderful week.
