Vacation 2

This is titled Vacation 2, not because we’ve been on 2 vacations this summer, but because yesterday on my own blog I wrote about our wonderful trip to Red River, New Mexico. Here on our WBW blog, we like to talk about encouraging things, and I find nature to be very encouraging and uplifting so I want to share more pics of beautiful Red River.

Driving away from Red River. Great vistas.
Also, leaving. This wall of rock is called the Palisades.
The river through town has many little rapids.
At all times of the day, you’ll find people fishing in the river and from the banks.
My granddaughter got this pic when she and her parents went up the mountain and hiked around.

In TAINTED, my heroine travels to her mother’s house in Red River to find her “safe place,” the way her dog Charley uses the box in Liz’s closet. Do you have a place that’s your “safe place” or “happy place”? I hope you do. And I hope you get to go there.

As always, I’d love to hear from you.

Marsha, Red River sounds lovely and I love your nature pictures. They remind me a lot, I f being at my parents’ ranch on the summer. I’ll share.

    1. Hey, Vicki. I’m surprised you haven’t visited. It’s called Texans second home. 3/4ths of the car tags read Texas. Hope you get to make the trip sometime. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

    1. Hey, Bev. Yes, it was just great. First trip in almost two years, so especially appreciated. Hope we make it to Maine in Oct, but I’m a bit worried with the way the pandemic is going. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
