For the most part, I’m a positive person. I can find the half-full glass, even if it takes a bit of effort on my part.
But I confess, the invasion of the sovereign country of Ukraine by Putin has been a big mountain to climb. I’m not going to pretend I’ve found good in this event, but I’m going to hope that eventually, we’ll all find something positive from this awful experience.
Like we’ll find inspiration in the bravery of the Ukrainians in defending their country. How the majority of the western world has come together. Maybe we’ll all come together to support the concept of democracy.
It’s not easy, but like anything of value, it will take work to find the positive.
Because this situation weighs so heavy on my heart and mind, I’m going to post pictures that will hopefully give us a lift. I’m blessed to live on a lake with amazing sunrises and sunsets, where we get to see lots of wildlife.
Top Row L-R deer in neighbor’s yard. Deer on hill below empty house. Majestic Canada Geese.
Second Row L-R Sunset. Moon over the lake. Moon over the lake.
Third Row: Sunrise.
As I said, we’re really blessed to live here.
I know many of you are living through the umpteenth snowstorm of this winter. Here in Texas, we’re looking at a third bout of ice, but this one will be small compared to the first two. So, I hope you are safe and warm and will spare a prayer for the Ukrainians.

Hi, Marsha! I so wish and pray good things for Ukraine. This is so utterly senseless esp in light of our country saving Russia. I truly appreciate your pictures.

I love seeing your lakes pics. They are a great reminder of beauty in the midst of chaos. But I do think it’s very hard to find the positive in war. Sure, there will be bravery, but it never makes up for the loss of life and devastation. I’m feeling sad and furious about it! No person should have the power to cause so much heartache and destruction. Hoping reason will prevail soon.

Hey, Darlene. Glad you like the pics. War is not the choice of sane people. I’m just afraid Putin has lost touch with reality, and his surrounded by yes men. Very tragic. Thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂

Love the peaceful pictures…HATE THE IDEA OF WAR. ALL lives, except those of despots and their followers are a gift, and let that remain so. Democracy is precious.
